Champagne Sabering with V Wine Cellar, Yountville, Ca

11 Jul

So after my love affair with Bouchon, I heaved my full belly up and out the door to walk it off!  I then stumbled upon the greatest little wine boutique I have ever seen.  Is it because of the good selection, no.  The Great Prices, no.  This place has Champagne Sabering Lessons!!!  I asked the gentleman behind the counter, and he asked me to pick out a bottle to Saber, he gave me the rundown, and Viola!!!!  I cut the top off of a bottle of wine.  It was fun.  Must visit.

Relm Wine Bistro Carlsbad California

12 Jun

During my Carlsbad adventure it was highly suggested that I check out the RELM Wine Bistro.  I am really glad  I did, although it made me feel a little depressed that we don’t have something like this on the Monterrey Peninsula.  I ordered a wine sampler for 12 dollars for 4 wines, they write the wine your drinking on the glass.  Then I ordered the goat cheese stuffed peppers with balsamic drizzle.  The balsamic was a little sweet for me, but the experience was really  great.  Live music, interesting wines by the glass, alternating menu, some fun appetizers and food.

Please come to the central coast and open one of these!

RELM Wine Bistro on Urbanspoon

Liquid Assets, Ashland Oregon

My first stop was to check out this highly online rated wine bistro, that serves some selected foods.  Although I wouldn’t recommend this place for the food per se, it does offer up some tasty eats.  They have a beautiful venue.  This place had a super friendly staff, great wines by the glass – I was able to try some very nice Local Oregon Pinot Noirs, and other varietals.  As a snack i had some bread with Balsamic Vinaigrette.  Highly recommend.
