Phil’s Fish Market is a landmark restaurant and Fish Monger on the Monterey Bay. Phil himself actually had a throw down with Bobby Flay and Bobby Flay Lost; Phil beat the Iron Chef! I buy a bucket of his Cioppino (the contest winner) every year for Christmas Eve, and as often as I can in between.
You are not going to be impressed with the ambiance unless you like the open air restaurant, with fish lying on ice everywhere. You order form the register and pay, prices as high as 30 dollars for entrees and sit a plastic tables. This restaurant is truly about the food, it is fantastic. Food gets 5 stars. Everything else gets 1 star! But I HIGHLY recommend it for the food; you can’t find fresher ingredients anywhere!
